Support the photographs you believe deserve a place in the next edition of ART GALLERY. Publication is reserved for works that reach 100% and pass the final quality assessment.
This page brings together the candidate photographs, updated according to the Featured selection. Vote for your favourites and take part in a selection process that remains open and dynamic until the editorial team makes its decision. The results reflect the authors’ preferences and contribute to the assessment without determining it on their own.
How to vote and view the results
On any device, only the VOTE button records a vote: opening a photograph does not add a Like. If you have already voted on the original page, your vote is recognised and is not counted a second time. Votes cannot be withdrawn from this section.
On a computer, clicking a photograph opens a centred preview that preserves its proportions, alongside a panel showing votes, valid comments and their author-by-author breakdown, bonuses, total score, publication percentage and progress towards 100%. On smartphones and tablets, the photograph opens on its original page.
The percentage and dynamic bar on each image update as soon as the vote and comment data are ready. An animated indicator shows that calculations are in progress; once all processing is complete, the six highest-scoring photographs appear automatically.
How the score is calculated
Likes have a progressive value: the 1st through 15th are worth 0.90 points each, the 16th through 20th 1.10 points each, and the 21st onwards 1.20 points each. Each value applies only to the Likes within its own band, without changing the value of earlier Likes.
For comments, each author can contribute only once per photograph: Member and other categories: 0.30 points; Collaborative: 0.40 points; Curator: 0.70 points. Additional comments by the same author do not increase the score or the number of valid comments. The photographer’s comments on their own image are always excluded. Collaborative and Curator roles are checked whenever the page opens; if an author belongs to more than one category, the highest value applies.
A progressive, cumulative bonus is added to the Like points: each Like from the 10th through 13th adds 0.50 points, from the 14th through 16th 0.70 points, from the 17th through 18th 1.80 points, from the 19th through 25th 1.50 points, and from the 26th onwards 1 point. This bonus also applies only to new Likes within their respective band, with no retroactive increases.
The following contributions are also available:
- Complete participation: +2 points upon reaching at least 17 Likes and 7 valid comments from different authors.
- Initial editorial assessment: +4 points for an outstanding assessment or +2 points for a strong assessment. Only the highest value is counted.
- User activity: +2 points, which may be awarded independently of the other contributions when meaningful participation is recognised.
- BNS1: +40% of the photograph’s public score, or BNS2: +20% of the same score.
- BNS3: +40% of comment points only, which can be combined with BNS1 or BNS2 without increasing Like points or other contributions.
From score to publication
The percentage increases in direct proportion to the score: 40 points correspond to 100%, 20 points to 50%, and 30 points to 75%. The displayed value never exceeds 100%; any lower percentage indicates progress only and does not guarantee publication.
Scores, weights and criteria may be recalibrated during the selection process according to the quality of the works, participation and editorial priorities. This evolving system helps preserve the gallery’s balance, authority and high standards.
The editorial team has access to all voting data. Admission to ART GALLERY requires reaching 100% and passing the combined quality assessment of the algorithm, artificial intelligence and the editorial team, safeguarding the prestige and visual excellence of the selection.
