Every member may submit one photograph per day. A second upload is permitted only when the first image was uploaded by mistake or a technical problem occurred during submission. In every case, only one photograph per day may enter the editorial selection process.

Systematically submitting two photographs on the same day without an upload error or technical issue is considered a breach of the editorial rules. In such cases, both images will be removed from the selection process, regardless of their artistic or technical merit.

Photographs are generally reviewed within 12 hours of submission. This timeframe is indicative and may vary according to the number of images received, Editorial Team requirements and the author’s participation in community life.

Authors who actively contribute through comments, Likes and constructive interaction may receive greater review priority. Submissions from members who do not participate in the community may require longer evaluation times.

Participation may influence timing and priority, but it never replaces photographic merit. The final decision remains based on the artistic, technical and editorial quality of the work.

Before publication, approved images are internally divided into three qualitative categories used to determine publication timing and priority.

Works distinguished by outstanding artistic and technical value may be approved in less than 12 hours. Selection is based exclusively on photographic merit; author activity does not influence the qualitative evaluation.

Strong Editorial Potential

High-impact photographs with significant editorial potential are generally evaluated and published within approximately six hours. When two images receive equivalent evaluations, community participation may help determine publication priority.

Further Editorial Review

Images requiring more detailed editorial consideration are generally published within 12 hours when approved. When editorial value is equal, priority may be given to the author who is more active within the community.

Once published in Latest Photos, each image receives an initial public score, generally set at 40 points. The Editorial Team also assigns an internal rating, not visible to members, which serves as a professional tool for subsequent editorial selections.

The public score grows through Likes, comments and community engagement. The weight of each interaction varies according to the reputation score of the member who generates it.

Every photograph published in Latest Photos automatically becomes a candidate for Featured and remains under consideration while included among the latest 24 publications analysed by the system. Selection develops through the combined contribution of community response, statistical analysis and editorial evaluation.

Community participation contributes approximately 80% of the result. Votes, Likes, meaningful comments, sustained interest and the author’s constructive activity before publication are analysed together. Curators’ comments carry greater qualified weight without replacing the community’s response.

The percentage is a dynamic eligibility index, not a guaranteed probability. The threshold may be recalibrated according to the number of photographs analysed, average interactions, participation levels and statistical distribution of results.

Visible quality ratings may adjust the score by +15%, +9%, −5% or −8%. A separate artistic contribution of 10% or 20% may also be recognised, but these two contributions cannot be combined. When appropriate, an AI-assisted analysis may apply a further 10% reduction.

Green indicators identify the newest photographs, while red indicators signal works approaching the end of their voting period. These markers describe timing, not artistic quality. Once selected, Featured photographs receive greater visibility and enter the public Vote for ART Gallery selection.

Reserved for photographs considered exceptional in artistic vision, technical quality and editorial relevance, ART Gallery represents the final destination and highest recognition of the ARTFreeLife editorial pathway.

The selection combines public participation with professional editorial evaluation. It is not determined by a single number: appreciation, conversation, sustained engagement and editorial judgement are brought together within one proportional system.

A Progressive Value for Every Like

Likes 1–15 contribute 0.90 points each; Likes 16–20 contribute 1.10 points each; and every Like from 21 onward contributes 1.20 points. Earlier Likes are never recalculated, so the score grows continuously without retroactive jumps.

Sustained Support Receives an Additional Bonus

A cumulative progressive bonus begins at the 10th Like. It adds 0.50 points for Likes 10–13, 0.70 for Likes 14–16, 1.80 for Likes 17–18, 1.50 for Likes 19–25 and 1 point for every Like from 26 onward.

Comments Give Depth to the Selection

Each person can contribute one valid comment per photograph. Repeated comments do not increase the score, while comments written by the photographer on their own work and deleted comments are excluded.

Editorial Evaluation Remains Proportional

The initial assessment may add 2 points for a strong evaluation or 4 points for an outstanding evaluation; these values are alternatives. Meaningful activity may add another 2 points.

A primary editorial bonus may add 40% of the public score, while a secondary bonus may add 20%. They cannot be combined. When a negative editorial adjustment is required, Like points and bonus contributions are reduced proportionally by 25%; authentic comment points are never reduced.

From Fifteen Candidates to the Six Highest Scores

Up to 15 photographs are evaluated and the six highest-ranked works are displayed. They are ordered by total score and, when results are equal, by number of Likes, valid commenters and original position in the selection.

The ranking is dynamic and informs the selection, but it does not replace the final responsibility of the Editorial Team.

Reaching 100% is an essential condition for publication. The threshold may be recalibrated in the future without changing the value assigned to Likes, comments or bonuses. The algorithm, artificial intelligence and Editorial Team work together to protect the exceptional quality of every photograph admitted to ART Gallery.
