ARTFreeLife Editorial Selection System

Photo Submission

Each member may submit one photograph per day.

A second submission is allowed only if the first image was uploaded incorrectly or if a technical issue occurred during the submission process. In any case, only one photograph per day will enter the editorial selection workflow.

Editorial Review Process

Photographs are normally reviewed within 12 hours of submission.

Images selected by the editorial team will be published in the Latest Photos section and will officially begin their editorial journey within ARTFreeLife.

Before publication, photographs are internally divided into three quality categories that determine their publication priority.

First Category

Outstanding photographs with strong artistic and technical value.

• May be approved in less than 12 hours.
• Selection is based exclusively on photographic merit.
• The author’s activity on the site does not influence the decision.

Second Category

Strong photographs with editorial potential.

• Usually published within approximately 6 hours.
• When two images receive similar evaluations, community participation may become a deciding factor.

Third Category

Images requiring a longer editorial evaluation.

• If approved, publication generally occurs within 12 hours.
• At equal editorial value, priority may be given to the most active contributor within the community.

Community participation includes comments, appreciation of other photographers’ work, and positive contributions to the growth of ARTFreeLife.

Audience Score System

Once published in Latest Photos, each image receives an initial Audience Score, typically ranging between 49 and 52 points.

The editorial team also assigns an additional internal score that remains invisible to users and serves as a professional evaluation tool for future selections.

Every interaction contributes to the growth of the Audience Score:

• Likes
• Comments
• User engagement

The value of each interaction depends on the reputation score of the member generating it.

Member Reputation Score

Each member receives an internal reputation score based on:

• Number of publications
• Activity within the community
• Comments and interactions
• Consistency of participation
• Presence in higher editorial sections

Curators and editorial staff members have dedicated scores that carry greater influence within the evaluation process.

Featured Photos Selection

Every photograph published in Latest Photos automatically becomes eligible for selection in Featured Photos.

Featured selections are based on a combination of:

• Audience performance
• Editorial evaluation
• Community engagement

The selection normally takes place within 24 to 48 hours after publication.

Featured photographs gain increased visibility and become candidates for the highest editorial distinction on ARTFreeLife.

ART Gallery

The ART Gallery represents the highest and most prestigious editorial level within ARTFreeLife.

Only photographs considered exceptional in terms of artistic vision, technical execution, and editorial significance can enter this section.

Images selected for ART Gallery generally achieve Audience Scores between 89 and 92 points, although the system allows scores to grow up to 100 points.

Photographs entering ART Gallery may receive:

• Inclusion in the ARTFreeLife Magazine
• Premium editorial presentation
• Extended homepage visibility
• Social media promotion
• Editorial cover selection opportunities
• Long-term visibility through automated editorial systems

FLOW

The FLOW experience is a dynamic visual stream that continuously redistributes photographs from Featured Photos and ART Gallery.

FLOW combines:

• Editorial value
• Audience performance
• User interactions
• Randomized visual discovery

This allows outstanding photographs to remain visible and discoverable long after their initial publication.
